Designing a Top 1% Life Part 2

Continuing on from last month’s newsletter, I’ll be sharing three habits from "The 9 Habits of the Top 1% Women" by Natalie Dawson that I really resonated with.

You can read Part 1 here.

Habit 5: Habit Stacking

What if we had more time than we think?

How often do we find ourselves waiting — in line, for the kettle to boil, in traffic, or in between tasks?

What if those moments weren’t wasted, but repurposed into something that supports our growth?

These small pockets of time can add up. Maybe it looks like listening to a podcast, reading a few pages of a book, sketching, or simply journaling your thoughts.

Take a moment to reflect on your day — where are the hidden pockets of time you could use more intentionally?

Habit 6: Workout Daily

When you feel good in your body, it flows into everything else.

Moving daily isn’t just about appearance — it’s about how you show up in your life. It builds self-confidence, discipline, and most importantly, self-trust.

Most days, you won’t feel like it. It can feel uncomfortable, challenging, and easy to put off. But choosing to show up anyway — especially when it’s hard — reinforces something deeper: that you can trust yourself to follow through.

And over time, that consistency becomes confidence that carries into every other area of your life.

Habit 7: Dress and Act Like Your Future Self

We all have a vision of where we want to be in a year, five years, or ten.

Instead of waiting until we arrive, what if we started showing up as that version of ourselves now?

As we begin to embody that identity — through our actions, habits, and decisions, but also in the small, everyday ways like how we dress, speak, or care for ourselves — we slowly begin to close the gap.

We become someone who is capable of achieving the goals we’ve set, and someone who lives in alignment with the life we envision.

The page sits beside a palette of paints and color swatches, showing the creative process from testing hues to final composition. Loose pencil sketches peek out underneath, capturing an in-progress botanical illustration with a soft, natural, and expressive style.
