Studio Notes: Showing Up Anyway

Hi friends,
This month has been quite full. From decluttering the home, food prepping, organising, sorting through baby things to balancing time between family and my art business before taking a little break.
It’s had me thinking a lot about consistency and how it matters so much more than intensity.
Not every day will be perfect. Looking back on the past month, maybe only 3 or 4 days went exactly to plan and the rest required flexibility and compromise. I’ve also had to work with my body as I get closer to my due date — some days I feel great, and others I feel quite fatigued and need to slow down and conserve my energy.
How do we keep moving toward our goals, even when life feels messy? By doing what we can on the "bad" or "hard" days.
Life won’t always go to plan, but that doesn’t mean we abandon our goals or the habits that support them. Instead, we can ask ourselves: what can I still do today that moves me forward?
Maybe it’s a walk instead of a 60-minute gym session.
Maybe it’s 30 minutes of painting instead of three hours.
Maybe it’s a few deep breaths instead of a full meditation.
The secret to consistency isn’t doing everything perfectly — it’s learning how to show up anyway. To do something, however small, especially when life isn’t ideal. Every small action is a win.
And I have a feeling this mindset will be especially important as I step into this new chapter of life.
