Goals & Vision for 2026 & Shifting Priorities

Updated: 2 days ago

A year of flourish, balance & flow.

Hi friends,

I hope you’re well — and just as excited as I am for 2026.

2025 was a year of learning and laying foundations in my art business. I spent so much of the year growing my skills, finding my rhythm, and slowly building something that feels meaningful and aligned. As I look ahead, 2026 feels like a year of gentle growth — a year of releasing the products I’ve been dreaming of, painting more of my own work, and continuing to build a creative life I love.

Alongside my business goals, I also have intentions around my health, my relationships, and how I want my days to feel. I’ve even created an action board for the year — a reminder that while dreaming is important, it’s our small, consistent actions that shape the lives we live.

There’s also a big piece of news I’ve been keeping quiet: I’m having a baby at the end of March 🤍

This means 2026 will be a year of both intention and deep surrender — learning how to prioritise, to soften, and to move with the changing rhythms of motherhood while still honouring my creativity and my business.

My words for the year are:

Flourish. Balance. Flow.

To flourish in my work, to balance the things that matter most, and to flow with this new season of life.

Business & Finance Goals

Stationery Collections

In 2026, I plan to release four cohesive stationery collections:

  • Vintage Stationery

  • Flowers & Berries

  • Colourful Florals

  • Australian Wildflowers

Each collection will include hardcover notebooks, softcover notebooks, and notepads. Working in collections allows me to streamline my process, create consistency, and ensure each range feels thoughtful and complete.

Alongside this, I’m currently designing a Productivity Planner — a project built around the planning and reflection tools I use every day. My hope is to complete the design by mid-2026 and begin incorporating it into future stationery releases.

Art Print Collection - Wildflowers

In 2025, much of my creative energy went into learning and client work. In 2026, I want to return to creating more of my own art.

My goal is to release a collection of 10–12 original paintings under the title Wildflowers — expressive, layered florals filled with colour, texture, and a vintage cottage-garden feel.

Stockists

With physical products becoming a bigger focus, I’d love to partner with 20 stockists around Australia.

Because I work with smaller production runs, I plan to keep most of my stock for my own shop while offering a curated selection to retailers. For me, this is less about scale and more about connection — seeing my work in beautiful, aligned spaces and reaching people who may not find me online.

Community

Connection is at the heart of everything I do.

I plan to continue sharing my journey through newsletters, blog posts, Instagram, and YouTube. With a baby arriving, the rhythm may shift between monthly and bimonthly — and I’m giving myself permission to let that be okay.

Consistency matters more than volume, and I want my creative life to feel sustainable and joyful.

Business Revenue

My goal for 2026 is $60,000 AUD in revenue, built through a mix of stationery, wholesale, art prints, and YouTube.

As print sales grow, I’d love to eventually bring printing in-house so I can improve margins and create a more personal, thoughtful experience for each customer.

Learning & Development Goals

One of the biggest lessons I took from 2025 is that slow, consistent learning creates far more growth than intensity. In 2026, I want to continue building on the foundations I’ve already laid — gently and with curiosity.

This year I’ll be weaving in more motherhood and parenting titles alongside business and creative learning.

Reading & Listening

I plan to read 12 books by keeping a simple habit of reading 10 pages each morning before checking my phone. I’ll also complete 12 audiobooks in 2026 and listen to around eight podcasts each month, often while walking, exercising, or doing light studio tasks.

Business & Creative Learning

I’m also part of Emily Jeffords’ The Collective, which has become a part of my creative routine. I often listen to a webinar or interview while I paint and read the materials during lunch, allowing learning to support my creativity rather than overwhelm it.

Tutorials & Skill Building

In addition, I’d love to continue building my technical skills through art tutorials. In 2025, many of my evenings were spent working through botanical illustration courses, and that steady practice made a huge difference in my confidence and quality of work. In 2026, I plan to continue to set aside my evenings and one day every fortnight for focused tutorial time — an act of care for both my art and myself.

Health Goals

Food & Diet

I want to return to fibre-rich, whole-food meals and simple weekly planning. With a newborn, I’ll be focusing on meal prep, large-batch cooking and freezer-friendly meals to support our energy and reduce daily stress.

Movement

After pregnancy, I plan to slowly return to strength training and running, eventually working toward a marathon. Daily walks with my baby will also become part of our rhythm — gentle movement, sunlight, and connection.

Mindfulness

Deep Belly Breathing, Qi Gong, yoga, meditation, and journaling will continue to anchor my days, even if they become shorter. The intention is simply to keep creating space to pause, breathe, and reset.

Attitude & Mindset

In 2026, I want to continue becoming someone who lives with intention — someone who protects her energy, her focus, and her time.

A few simple habits will support this:

  • Charging my phone outside the bedroom so mornings begin without the dopamine hit

  • Using app blockers to protect deep work and creative time

  • Getting sunlight after reading each morning

  • Setting limits on social media to prevent mindless scrolling

These small choices help me show up as the person I want to be — for my family, my art, and myself.

Relationship Goals

Time with my partner and baby will be at the heart of 2026 — daily walks, slow weekends, and moments outdoors together. We also love short campervan trips to reconnect with nature, and I hope to keep that ritual alive in whatever way feels possible.

With much of my family living interstate, I’d also love to rekindle weekly creative calls — painting, chatting, and staying connected despite the distance.

For those of you who are visual, I've included my goals in table format below:

A Notion-style table titled “2026 Goals” showing quarterly goals and progress across Business & Finances, Learning & Development, Health, and Relationships, with columns for Q1 to Q4 goals and progress statuses like “In progress” and “Not started.”
2026 Goals

Some goals will be measured by the quarter. Others day by day using my planner and habit tracker.

I’ll continue doing weekly and monthly check-ins so I can adjust as life unfolds — and I’ll be sharing quarterly reflections here too.

Thank you for being here, for following along, and for letting me share this season of growth, creativity, and motherhood with you 🤍

With love,

Wendy
