Studio Notes: Reflecting on a Year of Quiet Growth

Hi friends,

Can you believe we’re just one month away from 2026!? I hope your November has been lovely. If you’re in the Southern Hemisphere like me, summer is creeping in, and it’s hot! My paints are literally sweating, which has given me the perfect excuse to spend more time in the studio and make the most of my supplies.

As the year winds down, I naturally start reflecting on the past months and thinking about the year ahead. 2025 has been unexpected in so many ways—a year of learning, figuring out where I want my business to go, and tying up loose ends I hadn’t anticipated. It has been a year of quiet growth.

I entered 2025 expecting to be releasing collections left and right, but that wasn’t how things unfolded. And that’s okay—this year taught me so much and has me genuinely excited for what’s next. My goals haven’t changed much, but I’ve been intentionally building habits and routines that align with the life I love. For me, the New Year is no longer a dramatic “reset,” but a softer, reflective time to tweak and refine what’s already in place.

When you start intentionally building the life you love, you realize you don’t have to wait for the calendar to mark a “fresh start.” You’ve already begun creating it, step by step.

What has your year looked like? What will you keep, and what will you let go of in the coming year?
