Studio Notes: A Gentle September

Hi friends,

I hope you've all had a lovely September. Here in Australia, we're well and truly heading into the warmer months, and the flowers are in full bloom!

September has been a bit slow and frustrating for me. Do you ever feel like you have so much you want to do and accomplish, but just struggle with getting things done? For me, I have so many ideas and goals for my art business, like my upcoming shop launch. I love to plan and time-block to be as efficient and productive as possible day-to-day, but personal life, time with loved ones, disruptions, and other commitments constantly pull me away.

I find myself stopping and starting, rarely achieving my ideal of spending 6 - 8 hours a day on my business. Maybe I am being a little unrealistic? This month has been all about accepting disruptions, slowing down, and letting things take their time. It's also been a month of learning not to fall into bad habits when the day strays from what I had in mind—I often find myself making excuses to indulge in unproductive behaviors when my days aren't as productive as I'd hoped. Do you ever find yourself in the same situation?🌼.
