Studio Notes – Finding Rhythm in a Busy Season

Hi friends,

Can you believe we’re already stepping into March? I hope February treated you well and that you're making progress on your goals and New Year's resolutions. This past month has been all about finding my rhythm again and settling back into routine and reconnecting with my creative work and small business. I spent over half the month away for work and dedicating most of my painting time to commission pieces. I am finishing the last two outstanding commission pieces and I’m excited to start on my first collection of paintings that have been quietly brewing in my heart and mind. I’ve also been busy uploading new artwork to my website shop and Etsy shop, giving my creative space a fresh update.

When life gets busy — whether with work, travel, commitments, or unexpected changes — I notice how easy it is to slip into unintentional habits, like mindlessly scrolling or letting small pockets of time slip away. The second half of February became a period of reflection and finding my way back to intentionality. Finding ways to hold onto good habits, stay intentional, and adapt my routine so I can continue showing up as the best version of myself, no matter what life throws my way. How do you navigate life when it starts to become busy? I'd love to know! 🌼

A detailed botanical watercolor painting featuring an oval-shaped composition divided into three sections, each bursting with colorful flowers, fruits, and foliage. The artwork includes purple coneflowers, bellflowers, anemones, trumpet flowers, grapes, berries, and more, all intricately painted with vibrant, realistic hues. Surrounding the artwork are paintbrushes, a watercolor palette, and dried leaves, capturing a creative studio scene in progress.
